“you may not see every single piece of the puzzle that creates your life- you may not see every move the grand chess player makes- but know, He is in complete control of the game board. Sometimes certain pieces are moved or knocked over to make room for new ones. Other times, things happen because of the world we live in.
But everything, in the end, will always turn out for good”
*** 3.5 ***
A modern day Cinderella; a young beautiful redhead Kriesten from a small town who is starting her first year in college. There she meets a gorgeous, sexy, charming Wes. . On the surface, Wes is as close perfect as one can get; but is he hiding something? Something that only those close to him could know. He was in his last year in college and he wanted it to be memorable without any complication; until he met Kriesten. Both their pasts is what draws them and connects them to each other. Little did they know that they both need each other to help face their demons. Its a story of girl that has lost the will to live and the boy who gave her the reason to not only liVe, but to live each day to its fullest.
I rated this book 3.5 stars because I thoroughly enjoy the story and the many lessons you can grab from it. It gives you a better perspective on life. Life is not fair but you must have enough Faith that whatever life gives you, its for a reason. You may not see the big picture but at the end, everything seems clear. The only thing that kind of disappointed me was that it was a bit predictable. The author gave foretelling hints throughout the book. I’m a reader that likes to be kept on my toes the entire book. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a lovely story; I just was hoping for it to not be as predictable as I hoped.
Kriesten: She was the prototypical young adult female lead; innocent, shy and oblivious of her own beauty and skeptical about how this perfect specimen of a man adores her. But with her past, I understood why she is as sheltered as she is.
Wes: If you look up the word perfect, his picture would be right next to the definition in the dictionary. He is the star athlete, the son of the richest guy in the world, smart, quick-witted, charming, handsome and most of all a Brit. I just love Brit boys, maybe it’s the accent. He is the equivalent to a knight in shining armor. He saved Kriesten by helping her chase away her demons; and in return she gave him hope and strength to fight his demons.
